It's worse that we think (I think)

Jessica and I were out at a few stores last night shopping for towels, shower curtains and such. We went to Marshalls and LBed Bath and Beyond. Even though I haven't officially started my month of buying all American products, we were shocked to find that almost everything that they carried was in fact made in China. We couldn't find anything that was made in America. To be honest though, the prices were very attractive, and normally, I would have just thought, "What a great deal," and been on my way.

I also bought a set of pillows. The covers were made in China, but the labels went on to say that they were filled and finished in the USA. I guess that's something. It surprises me that a product could be partially made in one country, finished here, and still sold for less than $20. Unbelievable.

So last night, here is what I bought:

Shower Curtain from Marshalls: $12.99 Made in China (no American Choice)
Two Pillows from Marshalls: $16.99 Made 1/2 in China, Half in USA
Bed Skirt from Bed Bath and Beyond: $24.99 (On Sale) Made in China

I think this is going to be a lot harder than I originally planned.

Well, made in the USA or not, your place looked fabulous. And the pillows were super comfy! As was the oh-so-warm duvet.
